Programs

Our center, located in Farmington, Arkansas, offers care for children ranging in age from 6 weeks to 5 years. We also have limited spots for after-school care.

INFANT PROGRAM (6 weeks to 12 months) – Ducks Classroom

Our infant program is completely devoted to the well being of your baby. We provide babies with a quiet, serene atmosphere where they can play and learn and just be babies. We have a separate play and nap room, allowing for a more relaxed and peaceful rest period. Our infants eat and sleep on demand. Our teachers develop relationships with your baby, fostering a sense of security for you and your little one. Our infant teachers sing songs, read books, tell stories, hold and play with your little one throughout the day. There are bouncers, swings, and age appropriate toys in the classroom to stimulate your little one and help them achieve developmental milestones.

TODDLER PROGRAM (1-3 YEARS) – Frogs, Bears and Fish Classrooms

Toddlers are naturally curious and eager to learn and explore new things. Their brains are like sponges constantly taking in everything around them. We provide a stimulating environment to promote toddlers growing independence. Whether it’s helping toddlers learn to drink from a cup, eat with a fork or spoon, share a toy, or potty train, they’re gaining valuable skills and confidence along with their growing independence. They experience literacy through circle time, books, puppet play, music, singing, games and interactions with teachers. Our toddler classroom activities are developmentally appropriate for each age group, ensuring your child is exposed to activities that will stimulate their brains and build skills to reach developmental milestones. Once your toddlers is potty trained and is 3 years old they can move into the Preschool Program.

PRESCHOOL PROGRAM (3-5 YEARS) – Bees, Bugs and Stars Classrooms

Our preschool programs focus on building skills your child will use throughout their school years and life. Our preschool classrooms have daily circle time, center time, art, and free play. Each classroom has activity centers where children can choose from a variety of activities. They might choose a writing center, a block center, dramatic play center, science center, etc. We believe children learn best through play so we give them plenty of opportunities to play and learn every day. Preschoolers gain social skills as well as fine motor and gross motor skills through various activities in the classroom and on the playground. Our Preschoolers are also exposed to STEM activities – science, technology, engineering and math through activities and play in the classroom. They learn social skills such as how to share, take turns and be a good friend. Classroom jobs introduce the concepts of responsibility and dependability to your child. Our 4 and 5 year old classrooms utilize the Arkansas Kindergarten Readiness Skills checklist to ensure your preschooler is ready to start kindergarten when it’s time. Each year we organize an end of year program for our Bees, Bugs and Stars classes, including a graduation ceremony for children starting kindergarten in the fall. This is a great opportunity for parents and grandparents to see their little one on stage.

AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM (5-8 YEARS) – Monkeys Classroom

We offer limited spots in our after school program. We pick up school age students from Jerry "Pop” Williams Elementary and Bob Folsom Elementary in Farmington. We provide an after school snack and age appropriate activities, including outside play time for our after school students.

SUMMER PROGRAM

We offer limited spots in our summer program. Our currently enrolled families or former students get the first opportunity for enrollment. We offer safe, age appropriate activities that will keep your child engaged and learning throughout the summer. With the addition of our van, we will have optional field trips for our summer program.

ENRICHMENT OPPORTUNITIES

While many centers charge a separate fee for enrichment activities, we believe they should be included with your normal tuition. At See Um Smile Playhouse your child will have opportunities to participate in yoga, dance, music, rhythm, and movement as part of their normal schedule and it won’t cost you anything extra. We do have one exception and that is the Tumble Bus, which is an outside vendor that comes to our center each week. For information on the Tumble Bus and pricing please pick up a brochure at the information table in the hallway.
